Instead, dark green forest appears across much of the west, north, and interior, with fields, wetlands, shrubland, grassland, and developed areas interrupting it at many points. Forest still leads by a wide margin at 52.89%, so the overall impression is much greener than a suburban county even though the surface is far from uniform.
Agriculture makes up 13.65% of the 2025 summary. Larger yellow areas are especially noticeable toward the southeast, while smaller agricultural blocks are scattered through the center and northwestern portions of the county.
