How to keep the taskbar from previewing

” How to keep the taskbar from previewing “

When you use your computer, you run a variety of programs, and if the specifications are not high enough to use a lot of resources, it may take a rack. So it’s good to reduce the resources consumed, and one of them is to remove the preview of the taskbar preview.

In Windows Explorer, high-capacity files sometimes get racked up because of previews, but if you reduce them, you can use your computer in a more comfortable environment.

Removing the taskbar preview would be great if it was in Windows settings, but it’s not, so you can modify the registry to prevent the preview from appearing.

As much as you touch the registry, you may find it difficult from the beginning, but if you do it in the order below, you will be able to do it without difficult.

1. Open Registry Editor

You need to open the Registry Editor, press the Windows key + R to open the launch window shown above. Then type <reggedit> and click OK to open the registry editor.

2. Find Registry Folder

When you open the Registry Editor, there are many folders, so it can be difficult to find a folder that you can set to prevent the taskbar preview.

So you can easily find the folder by typing HKEY_CURRENT_USERSwareMicrosoftWindows CurrentVersionExplorerTaskband in the part shown above.

3. Modify the taskbar preview

If you have moved to a folder, you can select the value New > DWORD (32-bit) in the empty space on the right.

Name the newly created registry value NumThumbnails and double-click it.

If you double-click on the newly created registry value, you will see the setup screen as shown above, where you can set the value data to 0 and the unit to decimal and press OK.

All settings that prevent the taskbar preview from appearing have ended. If you reboot, you will be able to see that it works properly.

It may be good for those who use many programs to reduce system resources if they don’t need previews, but it can be inconvenient for those who check the preview to find out what kind of program it is.

So if you have a good system specification and you don’t have a rack or check the preview, you don’t have to set it up above.
