Google’s mobile search has been reorganized, so I could see how my writing came out, and I could see that a lightning icon was created. I found out that it was displayed because I applied WordPress AMP, and when I entered my writing, I was embarrassed to see that Sidebar, AdSense, etc. were moved to a page that didn’t come out at all.
So I looked up AMP, which means mobile content optimization standard, and it was a page that eliminated the factors that affected the speed so that I could focus on fast loading and the body.
I don’t remember when and how it was applied, but since AMP plug-in is installed in WordPress, it seems to have been applied when AdSense or WordPress recommended it.
< Left: Existing Page / Right: AMP Page>
Since the ad-sense is not available, I found a way to disable AMP through search, but after seeing an experiment that says that it is recommended by Google and that it can benefit from mobile, I found a way to give up deactivation and apply ad-sense.
1. Automatic ad-sense advertising
If you enter the AdSense page and you enter the ad category as an automatic ad, you can click on “Automatic Ad for AMP” here and activate it first.
Next, there are two and three steps, which will be used in the WordPress plug-in editor, so you can leave the window open.
2. AMP Plug-in Editor
First, you must select the installed plug-in to disable the AMP plug-in because it might not work properly when you modify the editor. Then select Plugin > Plugin Editor.
If you enter the Plugin Editor, there is a search window on the top right, and you can search with AMP here and enter Templates > Header.php.
After entering Header.php, you can paste the 2nd and 3rd level codes for AMP as shown above. Enter step 1 here, add </head>, and enter step 2 between <body> and</body>.
This completes the process, and it is not possible to see the results right away, but it varies from site to site, but it takes about 24 hours to see the results. But I decided to use a plug-in because this method is difficult and it might not be possible if it is not properly inputted.
3. WordPress AMP Plug-in
I looked for various plug-ins, but there were many things that could be used in a professional version, so I found a simple Adsense for amp plug-in with a small number of users and installed it.
If you look at the setup window, you can choose Google Adsense as the type to add an ad sense to the top and bottom, and Publisher id starts with ca-pud if you look at the ad code. You can copy this and enter it.
Adunit id then enters the ID of the advertising type to be used, so you can see the number when you see the ad unit on the AdSense site. Ad size has a reaction type and 100px, so you can choose from these.
I’ve been looking for a way because I didn’t get an ad-sense on my mobile page due to WordPress AMP application, but the results of the above method are not available until about 24 hours later, so I’ll write an additional article after a while.
The above two methods were found on a foreign site, but they didn’t work out even after 24 hours, and I hesitated to change the AMP plug-in due to the situation where the AMP preview was not even available in my theme, but I decided to change it.
With the plug-in AMP for WP, it even had the ability to put ad-sense ads, so it was easy to add ad-sense to WordPress AMP pages. The results were applied quickly enough to check immediately after a few minutes.
If you continue to fail while trying to find a way to apply it like me, please consider replacing the WordPress AMP plug-in.
