Following the map of Myanmar, I made a Malaysia map, which is located in Asia. Malaysia is a country between Indonesia and Thailand, and because it is an island country, its borders are different from the usual ones.
So it took more time than other countries to work on. Malaysia is a small country with a territorial area of 66th in the world, with a population of 32.36 million, ranking 45th in the world.
The economy represents the world’s 36th largest GDP with 366.4 billion dollars, and the 60th largest per capita GDP with 11,414 dollars, but it shows the highest economic situation in Southeast Asia.
In 2007, the global financial crisis caused the economic situation to deteriorate, and due to corruption and conflict, it is not making great progress. However, it is the most stable economic situation among Southeast Asia in that it is showing steady growth and is making plans to enter advanced countries.
The economy relies on the agricultural and mining industries and is the world’s largest producer of tin, natural rubber and palm oil. Various industries such as manufacturing, petroleum-related industries, construction materials, and steel making are also steadily developing.
Since the countries that have recently created maps were so poor, it can be said that Malaysia is a country with a comparatively diverse industrial development.
To this extent, let me introduce Malaysia and tell you the map. The program I used for the production was an illustrator, and I used Photoshop to add color.
Not only one map was created, but three types of maps, color maps, basic maps, and outline maps were made to be used for various purposes. All of them can be downloaded for free by clicking Google Drive at the bottom.
1. Malaysia Map
This is a Malaysia map that was created. It is a country with many islands, and as you can see, the borders are not immediately recognizable like other countries, so it is difficult to grasp at a glance when viewed on a world map.
The peninsula is divided into Malaysia and East Malaysia, and the capital is Kuala Lumpur. Region names in both Korean and English are displayed, and colors have been added to distinguish regions.
Because it contains colors, you can distinguish regions at a glance even if you print it, and it looks good, so it will be great for blogs and sites.
When creating a Malaysia map, I consulted various maps along with Google Maps, but there were also maps that did not indicate federal districts. So, I was afraid not to mark it, but I marked it as much as the capital was included.
- Peninsula Malaysia: Johor, Malika, Negrismblan, Selangor, Perak, Penang, Greater, Prilis, Klantan, Pahang, and Terengganu
- East Malaysia: Sarawak, Sabah
- Federal Districts: Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan
2. Basic Malaysia Map
Colors are good for regional identification, but when printed, the text may be difficult to see and it takes a lot of ink. So I also created a basic map with the terrain in white.
Because it is white, it clearly shows a good distinction from the surrounding countries, and when printed, the text is more visible. And it can be said that it is convenient to use it while taking notes on Malaysian information after printing.
Since I have checked all the breaks in the lines, it is also good to add color only to a specific area using a graphic program such as Photoshop.
3. Contour Malaysia Map
You can also work with graphics with the basic maps introduced above, but if you need to remove both colors and text, it can take a long time. That’s why it’s a good outline map for those who want to work with graphics.
All colors and text have been removed, so you can save ink if you print, and you will be able to work with ease when creating your own Malaysia map with your own information.
In addition to the Malaysia map, we are constantly making maps of various countries, so if you are using a map to provide information, please refer to the map category and download the map you need.
