Following the map of Angola, I made a Democratic Republic of the Congo map, which is located in Africa. The Democratic Republic of the Congo is a country between Tanzania, Zambia, Angola, and the Central African Republic, and on the map it is located in the center of Africa.
It is a very large country with a territory of 234.4 million hectares, ranking 11th in the world. It is not small enough to be the 16th in the world with a population of 86.56 million, and the gross domestic product (GDP), which shows the economic situation, is $47.3 billion, ranking 87th in the world.
The GDP per capita, which shows the real situation of the people, is $466, which can be said to be one of the poorest among African countries. The reason for this is that the biggest problem in African countries is that education is not being done properly, as in a scene from the family of Prince Jonathan of the Congo who appeared in the Human Theater before, “We have resources but no schools.”
And as civil war continues to occur due to resource problems, social turmoil and poor infrastructure are also not functioning properly.
The very poor of the Democratic Republic of the Congo account for 70%, showing a standard of living similar to that of Somalia, a country abandoned by the world. The fact that there is almost no manufacturing industry is also making people’s lives difficult. Because most of the industrial products depend on imports, prices are ridiculously high compared to the standard of living.
The people are living in difficult life, but the privileged people with wealth and power live luxurious lives and have no intention of solving these problems.
What makes the country stand out is the abundant underground resources, with copper reserves accounting for 15% of the world, cobalt 60% of the world, coltan No. 1 in the world, and uranium the 8th in the world.
Despite its abundant resources, it is one of the poorest among African countries due to political unrest caused by civil war and corruption of privileged classes.
Western countries such as the United States are imposing sanctions on warlords who buy weapons by earning money from exporting resources, but the situation is still unstable, so it can be said that the Democratic Republic of the Congo is where the massacre is committed.
As for religion, Catholics are the highest at 48%, followed by Protestants at 29%, and the rest are Muslims and indigenous beliefs. To this extent, I can learn about the Democratic Republic of the Congo and talk about the map that I made. The program I used was an illustrator, and Photoshop was used to add colors.
Not only one map was created, but three types of maps, color maps, base maps, and outline maps, can be used for various purposes.
1. Democratic Republic of the Congo Map
This is the map of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It is a color-coded map type, so it would be great to print it out or post it on a blog or site to use as a reference.
In the Democratic Republic of the Congo, when viewed on Google Maps, the regional division was not updated, but I also made it by referring to Google Maps, then checked Wikipedia, and made changes to know other things.
Previously, it had 10 states and 1 city, but it was revised in 2005 and changed to 25 states and 1 city in 2015. The names of the regions are in Korean and English so that you can know the correct pronunciation, and neighboring countries such as Tanzania, Uganda, Angola, and Gabon are marked with only letters, not borders, so that the location can be identified.
Since it was produced in A3 size, it will not break even if you enlarge it when you print it or add information through graphic work.
2. Basic Map
The next map of the Democratic Republic of the Congo is a map from which the colors used to classify regions have been removed. Depending on the print quality, it is a type of map made for those who do not like the text or color.
Since it is not a country with complex regional divisions, it is possible to distinguish sufficiently even if there is no color, and since the font size is made more than 10, you will be able to recognize the text even if you post it on a blog or site.
This is a map of the Democratic Republic of the Congo that is easy to use for those who want to enter additional information in Photoshop or Illustrator.
3. Contour map
You can also do graphic work with the map of the Democratic Republic of the Congo just above, but there will be some people who need to remove it because there are region names. So this is an outline map with all colors and letters removed.
It is a good map for those who are looking for a map of the Democratic Republic of the Congo who wants to create a map with their own information, so there is no need to do additional work when adding colors because we have checked all the lines to break.
I made three types of maps, but you can download and use the one that suits your purpose. In addition, since we have made maps of various countries, please refer to the map category in the menu above and download the maps of the countries you need.
※ You can download the map by going to [Google Drive] and clicking the download button at the top right.
