Following the map of Ghana, I made a Nigeria map, which is located in Africa. Nigeria is a country located between Niger to the north, Cameroon to the east and Benin to the west, and borders the sea, not a landlocked country.
It is not so small that it ranks 30th in the world with an area of 9,2377,000 hectares. It has a population of 26.13 million, making it the 7th largest in the world.
The gross national product (GDP), which shows the economic situation, is $48.1 billion, ranking 27th in the world. The economy is quite high. However, because of the large influence of the population, if you look at GDP per capita, which can tell you about the real lives of the people, as of 2019, it is $2,229, which is similar to that of Ghana.
Among African countries, it shows an economy beyond South Africa. This is because there are various resources such as oil, coal, column bike, and tin, which account for 90% of total exports due to underground resources.
Then, if you look at the major industries, the oil industry takes up 80% of foreign currency imports, so the economy has a big impact. For this reason, the economy was hit hard in the era of low oil prices.
So, we are making various efforts to reduce our dependence on oil. Agriculture is not small enough to account for 21.2% of GDP, and 50% of the economically active population is involved in agriculture.
Because it is facing the sea, it was thought that the fishery industry would develop, but the demand is higher than that of domestic production, so we depend on imports to produce twice as much.
While African countries lack a variety of industries and have a poor economy, Nigeria is experiencing growth in cement, electrical and electronic products, and is also an oil refining industry.
The government is also implementing various policies to foster the manufacturing industry to reduce dependence on oil. However, there is also a problem. Electricity and infrastructure are important for fostering the manufacturing industry, but they are struggling because they are still insufficient.
The language is English, and religions are believed to be 50% Muslim and 40% Christian. To this extent, I learned about the country of Nigeria and talked about the map. The program I used was an illustrator, and Photoshop was used to add colors.
As before, not only one map was created, but three types of maps, color maps, basic maps, and outline maps, were made so that they can be used for various tasks.
1. Nigeria Map
This is the Nigeria map created this time. It is a federal republic composed of 36 states and one federal capital district. When indicating the name of the region, referring to the Wikipedia Administrative District document, it is indicated in Korean and English.
It can be complicated because there are many areas, but it shouldn’t be difficult to distinguish them because we used colors. The neighboring countries Cameroon, Benin, and Niger look complicated when creating borders, so the location is indicated only with letters.
Since the size is A3, it will not break even if you print and paste it or view it on a computer. And for those of you who want to use a graphic program to add travel reviews or local information for a specific area, the large size will be convenient when working.
The color is nice to look at, so it would be great for attaching a Nigeria map to your blog or site.
2. Basic Nigeria Map
The Nigerian color map introduced above looks good and is good for use on the Internet, but when printed, the text may be difficult to see depending on the print quality.
So here is the Nigeria map made with the color removed and a white background. And the top map is good to use, so you can use it as a graphic, so you can change it to any color you like, or you’ll be able to work comfortably when displaying Nigeria travel information on the map.
3. Contour Nigeria Map
Finally, this is the Nigeria map with the text removed from the base map. The above map was added for those who would like to work with graphics. When adding the desired color to a specific area, all the breaks in the lines are fine, so you can make it easier without additional work.
And since there are no colors and letters when adding travel routes or information, you will be able to create a map with your own information. All three maps above are compressed files, and you can download them for free by clicking Google Drive at the bottom.
Recently, I am making a map mainly for the African region, and there are still many countries, so I will continue to work and make all of them.
In addition to the Nigeria map, we have made maps of various countries so far, so if you are using the map to write information or travel reviews, please go to the map category above and download what you need.
※ You can download the map by going to [Google Drive] and clicking the download button at the top right.
