Following the Senegal map, I made a Ghana map, which is located in Africa. Ghana is located between Togo to the east, Ivory Coast to the west, and Burkina Faso to the north.
Ghana is a country well known in Korea for its chocolate products and Ghanaian celebrities. Its territory area is 2,3854,000 hectares, and is ranked 80th in the world, with a population of 3.107 million, ranking 47th in the world.
The gross domestic product (GDP), which shows the economic situation, is 66.9 billion dollars, ranking 71st in the world. The GDP per capita, which shows the real life of the people, is $2,300, which is the highest among African countries with many least developed countries.
Because it is facing the sea, the fishery industry is developed. Thanks to the fertile land, the primary industry is strong and the secondary industry, mineral resources, is abundant, so it has great growth potential.
And because there is no political unrest, which is the biggest problem in African countries, it is good to implement economic policies, and the service industry can grow significantly, so it can grow into various industrial structures.
As for Ghana’s major minerals, it produces gold, diamond, manganese, iron rock, and petroleum, the second largest producer in Africa, and the cocoa industry is also producing the second largest in the world.
Most African countries have trade deficits, and Ghana is expected to record a surplus on exports of cocoa and crude oil. Korea also exports to Ghana, mainly automobiles and industrial goods, ranking 13th among importing countries.
However, as the economic downturn continued due to the plunge in raw material and oil prices in 2014, there is a possibility that if we do not lower our dependence through various industries, we may face difficulties again.
Religion is believed to be Christian 71% and Muslim 18%, and the climate shows a rainforest climate. When I learned about Ghana and talked about it on the map, the program I used was an illustrator, and Photoshop was used to add colors.
Not only one map was created, but three types of maps, color maps, basic maps, and outline maps, were made for various purposes.
1. Ghana Map
This is the state of the Ghana map created this time. As in the previous method, regions were classified by color, and regional names were marked in Korean and English referring to the Wikipedia administrative district document.
The capital Accra is marked with a red star icon so that you can find it right away, and neighboring countries Togo, Côte d’Abourg, and Brkina Faso don’t create borders, but mark their location only with letters.
At first, I tried not to display the burning arcs, but I decided to mark them because they occupy too much of the terrain.
Colors are used for regional classification, so they look good, so you can print them out and stick them on the wall, or use them to post information about Ghana on a blog or site.
2. Basic Ghana Map
There are many people who like color maps, but if there are colors, there will be a lot of ink consumption when printing, and depending on the print quality, the text may be difficult to see.
Therefore, it is difficult to distinguish between the lake and the sea with the created Ghana map, so only that part was colored. Because the terrain is white, it is good to use while marking after printing, and it will be convenient for those who add information through graphic work.
3. Contour Ghana Map
Finally, the map of Ghana with all colors and letters removed, and you can use it to create a map with your own information using a graphics program such as Photoshop.
Since there may be people who want to add color only to a specific area, I worked while checking all the breaks of the lines when I was working on it, and since I made it with an illustrator along with the work in A3 size, it will not break even if I enlarge it. .
Since most of the countries have been made, recently, I am making maps mainly for African countries, but I will work on the remaining countries in Europe and Asia soon.
The above 3 types of Ghana maps are all compressed files and can be downloaded for free by clicking on Google Drive at the bottom. In addition to the Ghana map, we made maps of various countries, so please refer to the map category above and download what you need.
