Following the map of Arizona, the US state, this time I created a Mali Map, which is located in Africa. Mali is a country between Algeria, Burkina Faso, Monitani, Senegal and Niger.
The territory of Mali is 124.1 million hectares, which is quite large enough to rank 22nd in the world. The population is small compared to the territory, but it is ranked 60th in the world with 28.855,000 people.
Compared to large territories, the population is small, so the population density is 11 people/km², compared to 516 people/km² in Korea.
Gross national product (GDP), which shows the economic situation, is 17.16 billion dollars, which is 92.991 billion dollars in Niger, 10.91 billion dollars in Guinea, 24.13 billion dollars in Senegal, and 1738 billion dollars in Algeria. If you do, you can say that you are in the least developed country.
The per capita GDP, which shows the real life of the people, is 899.66 dollars, which is higher than Niger 413.98 dollars, but lower than Senegal 1,521 dollars and Mauritania 1,188 dollars, and it can be said to be less than 1,000 used by the poorest countries standards.
Mali is very reliant on foreign aid because it is difficult to support the country, and it can be said that there is no infrastructure, starting with the human resources needed when the economy develops so that 80% of the population is engaged in the primitive form of agriculture and fisheries.
Among African countries, people’s lives are difficult, but the government has money because of the abundance of resources. However, due to the lack of resources and the poor natural environment, the government cannot maintain it without relying on foreign aid.
It is not without any resources and it is mining gold, uranium, and phosphorus, among which uranium is said to have an exclusive contract with Japan. In agriculture, livestock and fisheries are developed around the Niger River basin.
Rice, peanuts, sugar cane, and cotton are grown as crops, but it is difficult to draw water and the yield is not large due to desertification. And because it is a landlocked country and the transportation infrastructure is not properly equipped, exports are difficult compared to other countries.
Economic restructuring and reform are being promoted through the IMF, but due to poor infrastructure, it is one of the countries where economic development is not easy because there is little investment other than interest in resources.
The climate is hot from February to June, rainfall from July to November, mild, and cold from November to February. Religion is believed to be 90% of Muslims and 9% of local beliefs.
French is the official language currently spoken due to French colonial influence. To this extent, I can learn about Mali and talk about the map. The program I used for the production was an illustrator, and I used Photoshop to add color.
Instead of creating only one type of map, we made three types of color maps, basic maps, and outline maps so that they can be used for various tasks. Then I will show you the map of Mali that I made this time.
1. Mali Map
As the map made this time, the area is not difficult and the administrative area is small, so the process of making it is said to be made quickly compared to the maps made so far.
Low saturation colors were used to distinguish regions, and Bamako, the capital, used a red star icon so that it could be found immediately. Colors are used to distinguish regions, so they look great and will be great for attaching to your blog or site when writing posts.
Neighboring countries such as Burkina Faso, Niger, and Algeria have not created borders so that they can focus on the terrain of Mali, but have been marked with letters so that their locations can be identified. The size is also made large in A3, so it is good to work while enlarged when working with graphics without breaking even after printing.
2. Base Mali Map
After that, the map of Mali is a map of Mali that removes the colors used for regional division. There are many people who like to have colors. There will be some of you.
That’s why the terrain is white as the type of map you created, so it’s good to use while taking notes after printing.
3. Contour Mali Map
Finally, this is a Mali map with only outlines with all colors and letters removed. The maps outlined above can also work with graphics, but it will take a long time if you need to remove colors and text.
So, I removed all the elements and made a map with only outlines, so I checked all the connections of the lines, so there is no need to do the work of connecting when adding colors.
All three maps of Mali above are compressed files, and you can download them for free by clicking on Google Drive below. In addition, we have produced maps for various countries, so if you need them, please refer to the map category.
